Delicious food ! Great location ! Intimate setting. Go here once a week for a meal and it’s never regretted. Curries, fish, dumplings and cocktails always a hit. Ticks every box!

China Lane is in a quaint little lane in Sydney’s CBD on Ash Lane near the recital hall. The best dumplings in sydney ! So tasty ! The menu is incredible. Innovative always changing. It’s central location is perfect for any dinner or occasion. Great...value for money and the staff are efficient and considerate. Daily specials are always a hit. I can’t wait to get back!

Lovely food. We had seafood dumplings as a shared entree and they were lovely. They were each topped with a scallop and caviar-like crunchy beads. Then we each had fish (barramundi and John Dory. The fish was steamed and in a beautiful light coconut and...lime sauce (dory) with a tiny bit of not too hot chilli. I ate all the sauce I could soak up with m rice. We also shared Asian greens which were just blanched and again accompanied by a light sauce. The restaurant was very busy and quite noisy, despite Covid distancing. Our waitress was appropriately responsive and knowledgeable. It was a Saturday evening so I suppose we shouldn’t object to a table of 12 beautifully dressed young girls celebrating something however. They made it soooo noisy! I think we’d return on a week night. The meal was a little expensive but value for money. Fully recommended

It is one of the few places that has a great vegetarian spread in its menu. Rare for me to find such fabulous authentic chinese food anywhere. The desserts are also nothing short of scrumptious. Service is great and so is the ambiance. One of my all time favourite places in Sydney.

China Lane is located in the CBD in a cool laneway with sounds of chirping birds and beautiful birdcages hung from above. A modern and fancy Chinese restaurant with a nice selection on the menu. The king mushrooms and the mackerel were tasty. Excellent presentation. The San choy bao were disappointing and overpriced. We couldn't fit in dessert but there were a few tempting options. Maybe next time.
