The Old Triangle Irish Alehouse

We chose the old triangle due to the clearly marked vegetarian options. Unfortunately, the “vegetarian” sweet potatoes turned out to be fried oil like meat. Instead I could order a beautiful margherita pizza without cheese. pity because of the pommes! check the status of their order with their waiter to be sure.

We went on a rainy night... disappointed that there was no music, but still enjoyed a good meal. This truly is a chain restaurant and while there are some minor differences in locations, they offer a reasonably predictable experience.

We had been to the pub in Another location I didn't enjoy but husband did. Decided to give this a try. Roof top outside patio nice, server pleasant, polite reasonably paced. Food a lot better, good view enjoyed this time.

This is a very nice restaurant. They serve authentic Irish dishes, but have all kinds of food on the menu. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a lot of parking on the side of the building which is misleading. The entrance is on the upper street and there is parking on the street. We ended up walking quite a distance to get to the door. The service and portions were great.

Every time I go to this restaurant chain either in Sydney or Halifax I end up disappointed. The steaks I had were neither seasoned or cooked properly and were tough. I generally prefer not putting any sauce on my steaks but copious amounts of brown sauce was required to finish the dish. Service was slow. drink sizes (for pop) was small and refills were limited. Some of the appetizers looked great but their prices were too high, It looks like they may have a lot of business from people who are there for a pint and an appetizer. So the app prices are high so the restaurant can make a better return on the table when people don't want to be disappointed by ordering a full meal. This restaurant chain is very popular and Is always busy but I don't get it. the food is mediocre... It would be a great place for a pint especially when the live music is going but I'll eat somewhere else first.
