We lost 45£ booking fee. Nobody answered my calls and the email we sent could not be delivered. I feel it was a scam and it caused inconveniences to the family. Really disappointed! The food was nice when it eventually came- over an hour and 20 minute wait for starters and then another hour wait for main courses which were warm at best, but we were so hungry by that point we were desperate to eat. After also asking for gluten free options they mixed up the order for bringing something that we said we didn’t want because it wasn’t gluten free. The staff were friendly but didn’t seem to know what was happening most of the time
Booked a meal here weeks in advance for my graduation day (11/07/23). As we walked in there were multiple customers complaining about their meals and staff seemed shocked when we arrived, explaining that they needed to prepare a table for us as they weren’t expecting us even though it was booked and we came on time. Once seated, all empty tables around us were dirty and had not been cleared with no sight of being cleared either. We waited 25 minutes to be served and no one came so we walked out and I don’t even think staff noticed us leaving. No sight of a manager or anyone guiding staff the whole time we were there. Absolutely astonishing how purely run this restaurant was on a Tuesday evening, especially considering the upper class decor and high costs. So glad we walked out and had a brilliant meal elsewhere.
I had to ask the waiter to clean the table because it was dirty. I have eaten the most expensive margherita pizza ever... Almost 13 ! Not good. But not disgusting. That fed me anyway. I should have gone to McDonald's instead... Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
Ruined graduation meal! This is not anything to do with the staff at the restaurant. They were very accommodating and helpful despite the upset that occurred. The restaurant was extremely understaffed despite them taking deposits and pre-orders knowing that an event was on (graduation). The food was coming out extremely slowly and it was an hour and a half before we had our starters after being sat. The staff worked so hard but there simply were not enough staff to deal with the demand. We got told that there was another table ahead of us waiting for food and we decided to pay for what we owed and leave. Very disappointing.
