Mohr Fish - Surry Hills

Walked past this cool place a dozen times and only got the nerve to try it out when a friend on a work visa from europe said they haven't had fish and chips

Dainty little corner fish and chip store on Devonshire Street Surry Hills.

So here is the thing! I am going to set the tone for my review of MohrFish like this .

Both the oysters and fish fillets are very fresh and yum! The rest' is a tiny one in the Surry Hill vicinity. However, on Saturday, a lot of people go there for take-away fish and chips. Please be reminded that fish and chips are allowed for take-away only. For dine-in, more pricy fish has to be picked.

Fish and chips Fridays (in search for the best fish and chips in Sydney?) We tried Mohr Fish which is near Ate Rynn's workplace. Ordered one Seafood Basket and one Beer Battered Fish with chips for take-away. Both served with lemon and Mohr Fish own tartar sauce. The chips was cooked well and had enough salt to taste. Was a bit disappointed though because the Seafood Basket did not have garlic prawns. The fried fish on the seafood basket is better than the other one because it looks like the fish was not cooked well the taste of the beer batter was still dominant (not crunchy enough). Plus their waiter does not look friendly or looked tired at 1:15 pm (they open at 11am). ✌????
