Izakaya Fujiyama - Surry Hills

We booked this restaurant in the night and I was pretty stolen, they had the availability as it was so last minute! I visited this place again and was amazed at the quality of eating simple, but well done. / there were a few steh dishes that were the nebelei and also the chicken ball gnome! the spits were so tender and definitiw not dry. the total dishes were good, but not something excellent, it is a good safer place if they want a Japanese fusion dinner and cannot go wrong. / the atmosphere was not too beautiful, very atmospheric and the lighting was dim, but also super casual! great place for a date night or just a catch up with friends, I would definitely visit here again.

Excellent eating, the tasting menu has a good selection of typical izakaya food, but we felt quite hastily with the next cure arriving well before we got the previous so that the heavy fish on hot rocks was massif over boiled by the time we got to him. / I am not sure why, how the place was empty so that there is no one waiting.

A little gem hidden in the back streets behind Crown St in Surry Hills. Service, food and drinks were all exceptional.

Pros flavour of food, diligent service, ambience, music and mood lighting. Cons: pricing and not filling. Had the pork belly, mushrooms, beef cheek bun and sausage. All very good but not very filling. Spent $35 between three people for the dishes and was still very hungry after.
