Unfortunately, when I arrived, there was a sign on the door stating that they were closed for renovations until further notice. It is recommended to check if they are open before planning a visit, especially if you are traveling a long distance to get there.
I ordered the spring rolls and laksa for dinner. The spring rolls were delicious and the laksa was enjoyable, although it was not prepared in the traditional Thai style. The laksa was not very spicy, had subtle flavors, and the soup was a bit watery compared to a coconut milk base. The meal was very affordable, with two entrees and two generous portions costing only $30. This review was updated on August 17, 2022.
This is now definitely one of my favorite vegan restaurants in Sydney. I came for lunch and ordered the lemongrass pho (only $10) and it was one of the most delicious soups I've had outside of Vietnam. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. I believe that with its proximity to Central Station and Surry Hills, Hanh Phuc is the ideal spot for anyone looking for a tasty, satisfying, and affordable meal in the area.
We ordered the rice with steamed vegetables and lemongrass tofu, as well as the noodle salad with spring rolls. The portions were large and the person serving us, who I assume was the owner, was incredibly friendly. For dessert, we had iced white coffee and jelly. The coffee was bold and delicious, and the jelly was sweet. The prices were very affordable for the quality of the food. We would definitely love to come back again.
Incredible solo act. The woman running the restaurant is absolutely charming and generous. You can truly taste the care and passion she puts into her dishes.
