Claires kitchen at le Salon

A family and friend birthday gathering - (14 pax) had us in an upstairs separate room/area with it's own bar and impeccably decorated venue. Pre-dinner drinks and plenty of room to stand and mingle to say "hi" to start with. Giant table with comfortable seating. The menu was a struggle as I could not make up my mind (note to self - go back and eat your way through the menu) as everything sounded fabulous. I waited until I saw what my family selected, that way there was always a possibility of a little sample of others, just to make sure my family was OK with what they chose :)I started with "dome of smoked salmon, crab and celeriac romoulade served with avocado dressing and brioche croutons" or as they say in French, Dome de Saumon Fume, Remoulade de Crabie GF, followed by "duck and Pinot Noir pie with melted brie, under the puff pastry crust" aka Canard En Croute. Both dishes were simply WOW, simply magnificent. Elsewhere on the table there was Chateaubriand, possibly the best piece of cooked meat I have ever tasted. Special shout out to Martin, for his entertaining magic trick for the young ones. First class experience overall. I cannot wait to go back.

Wonderfully French in all aspects. Food was delicious; staff excellent and ambience chic. Happy to return in the near future.

Staying nearby for work and found this lovely little French restaurant (yes the waiters are French). Good food ( I especially enjoyed the scallops which was an entree but they offered to do it as a main), good service, good French wines and lovely ambience. Most enjoyable! And I felt very comfortable being there as a solo diner.

The menu offers a wide range of French Cusine - I had stopped in for cheese and dessert.I opted for the chesse board ( 4 cheeses provided) and a creme brulee for dessert. Both options were well presented and delicious. I also had a glass of red wine with the cheese, a glass of dessert wine and a bottle of sparling water - total cost $82.Service was impeccable, very friendly, professional and attentive.

Lovely attentive service and great atmosphere. Very unassuming by the location. Loved our soufflé entree and steak tartare. Lemon Meringue with Bday Sparkler was perfection. Our mains were surprisingly average ,Some cocktails weren't made to description. #busynight Overall the lovely service makes up where the food varied.
