We were informed that in order to receive the 30 percent discount, we were required to order a first course and a main course, even though we had already added extra items to our main course that were not included in the discount. The restaurant did not have the tagine dish we wanted, but the server did not mention this beforehand. As a result, we settled for a dish that we found to be too salty. The music was loud and unappealing, and we had a baby with us. The overall experience was disappointing, and I decided not to return to the restaurant.

Although Kairo Gourmet Restaurant provides quick and friendly service in a laid-back and unassuming setting, the portion sizes are quite small for the high prices. The food lacks seasoning such as salt, cumin, mixed spices, garlic, and lemon. Even after ordering two appetizers and three main dishes between three people, we left feeling unsatisfied. We also ended up eating hot chips on the way home. Despite the 30% discount, unfortunately, I do not plan on returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

The owner graciously recommended some dishes to us. The food was delicious and the service was great. The outdoor seating area felt safe, as it was covered and well-ventilated.

Good small meditarranes restaurant in the oxford street side of the surry hills. the meats were great, although some of the food a little on the salty side will be back.

Possibly the best Middle Eastern food I've ever had every dish was spectacular and the owner was so lovely and friendly. We can't wait to go back!
