They were delicious! So were the Magic Bar and the Breakfast Cookie. Looking forward to a return visit!
I was feeling really unmotivated to study at home and I thought that going to a cafe with good food and ambience will help me focus more and it did! Prado fits all the criteria I was looking for as a student: Good food Nice Ambience plugs for my laptop not a lot though, I came early so I was able to easily find a spot Though they have signs up saying that we should be staying inside for 1hr or less, they don't really enforce it. It doesn't really get that busy here kinda dead around 8:30am, gets busier at around 11am . Also people pass by in the morning with their dogs and its so cute seeing them : Baristas are really nice, I pronounced a few items on the menu incorrectly and they still got what I meant. Lots of natural light. For food and drinks, I got a 12oz chai latte $5.25, and cheese scone $4.53 including tip I asked to get it heated up, but it wasn't heated up enough for me so if you order this get it heated for longer which both tasted good for the chai I would have asked for more syrup, as I'm a sweet tooth for comparison its less sweet than a starbucks chai latte . In the afternoon I originally planned to get fraser street breakfast or prado breakfast anything with some poached eggs on sourdough really but they currently do not serve anything with eggs or prosciutto. So I just got a caprese double toasted $10.25 including tip , and it tasted good to me! I spent around $20 which was expected, and kinda pricey but I like to think I'm also paying for the space too. So I think its worth it! Hopefully this review is helpful.
I had a cafe mocha and my partner had a latte. The coffee was hot which is a plus in my books. The latte exuded a crisp coffee bean aroma and the mocha was chocolaty, but not too sweet to mask the flavour of the coffee. We both enjoyed our time sipping on the coffee. We also had the carrot cake which was good but pricey. I’ve had better cake elsewhere for less. The atmosphere is nice as it’s located in the civic hotel. Overall, I’d recommend this coffee shop.
I’m obsessed with Prado cafe. Vegan/vegetarian options are UNREAL! Drinks are always made perfectly. Their vegan apricot cookie and chai latte is a must try. Super friendly staff! I love stopping by Prado any time I can.
Being a student at SFU Surrey, Prado is my go-to for coffee and reviews in between classes. I absolutely love the high ceilings, beautiful natural lighting, and ambiance of the café. I love their selection of pastries, drinks, and sandwiches and how friendly their staff is. This is definitely one of my favourite coffee places in Surrey.
