Stood and waited and waited and waited for the lady behind the counter to ask what I would like. Some guy walks in that she knows, they greet each other and she takes his order.I can't tell you what the food was like, because she never took my order. I left after she made him a coffee, gave him his food, money was exchanged, and she still didn't even ask what I would like. I must have been invisible that day.Good luck on getting any service, unless of course, you know them.
We often go here after a walk, to sit down, having a bite to eat, and a sip of coffee. The atmosphere is very relaxing and comfortable and the staff are extremely welcoming, making you feel like home. The bread, by the way, is out of this world good, and you are well advised to use it for all bread that you get. But this hidden gem doesn't brag at all. It is happy to be just tucked away off to the side in Canterbury Road, just away from the popular Ballarat Road restaurant district, as they know that the quality of their food gets them there.
So imagine some sort of delicious fusion of Italian, French and Mediterranean foods and you've got Pane E Latte It's a deli.
