The Don's Deli - Sunnyvale

The sandwich place was just okay. I ordered a hot sandwich but it came completely cold, so I had to microwave it myself. The wait time was also 20 minutes longer than what the app suggested. However, the flavor was good.

The bread was incredibly fresh, especially the sourdough which we loved so much we almost ordered another. They offer a variety of options, from healthy to indulgent, all of which are equally delicious. Our favorites were the Pesto Chicken and the spicy chicken, but honestly, every sandwich sounded amazing. You must try them for yourself! Situated just one street over from Murphy Street, the main downtown area of Sunnyvale, this restaurant is in a spacious plaza where you can enjoy your meal and take a leisurely stroll. The area is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of seating available. The customer service was excellent, with everyone being very kind and accommodating. The prices were reasonable, as we paid around $21 for two generous sandwiches. Overall, we were highly impressed and will definitely be returning. This truly is one of the best sandwich spots in the Bay Area, no exaggeration!

The restaurant offers vegetarian options, including a selection of vegetarian sandwiches on the menu. I tried the Vegan Chic Sandwich, which is a hot sandwich with breaded "chick'n," portobello mushroom, BBQ mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, and onion on an Asiago roll. You can substitute vegan chick'n or falafel in any of their Signature Sandwiches to make it vegetarian. I will definitely be returning to try more of their sandwiches.

In spite of not having all the ingredients for my sandwiches, they made up for it by including too much additional substitutions and providing great customer service. Portions kind of small for the price,but we're in a shrink-flatiron economy at this moment.

I absolutely adore their sandwiches. They are packed with delicious, juicy meat that always leaves me satisfied. Each sandwich is so filling that I usually end up saving half for later. They are truly unbeatable. If you haven't tried them yet, I highly recommend it!
