I tried their homemade Bloody Mary, which was decent, but it had way too much ice. I ordered the Adobe fries with steak and ended up bringing half of it home; it was delicious and very filling. My wife had the steak and shrimp fajitas, and she said the guacamole was fantastic. I tasted her steak, and the flavor difference between hers and mine was remarkable. Usually, steaks in restaurants taste quite similar, but here, each one had its own unique flavor.
Considering the prices and location, I expected a better experience. We paid $10 for chips and guacamole, but the portion of guacamole was minimal. This was especially disappointing since many Mexican restaurants typically offer complimentary chips and salsa. Regarding the entrees, the quesadilla was tasty, but the carne asada steak bowl lacked flavor and the rice was undercooked. On a positive note, the restaurant does have a lovely atmosphere.
We had an amazing Sunday brunch! There were plenty of fantastic options, and we were seated quickly. The service was excellent as well. We tried various dishes, and everyone loved them. The trio selection was especially a hit with the crowd!
I absolutely love this place! A friend and I popped in during my trip to Charleston, and it was amazing. The atmosphere, service, and food were all fantastic. We started by sharing the nachos topped with cheese and chorizo, which were simply irresistible. For my main course, I ordered the shrimp and grits, and let me tell you, it was the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had—seriously delicious!
The food was excellent, but our server missed the mark. However, she managed to turn things around and saved the evening for our friend's birthday celebration! The restrooms had some really stylish sinks, too.
