House Of Cod - Summerville

Nice sized pieces of cod, shrimp and clam strips. Actually cooked nicely, not over cooked which makes the clam strips excellent. Layout of the restaurant is super casual with basket style plates and plastic wear makes it a quick stop anytime without the fuss. I would recommend since this is surely hands down better then Captain D's because it wasn't greasy! My only suggestion would be more flavor in the batter, or offer cajun seasoning fries or a local hot sauce or horseradish on the table. I really liked the food because it was cooked perfectly it but it was just missing something! I waited a full day before I wrote this review to try and figure it out but haven't yet so I guess I just got to go back and try them again......

Second time here for lunch and it was great. The servings with cod or scallops or shrimp are big as well as tasty but don't forget the fries. Seniors and veterans are welcomed and get a discount. Everything is kept very clean to include the restrooms. I recommend coming here for lunch or dinner, you'll be satisfied. This is my third here now and I have a big smile. Friendly staff and good service.

Great staff and a nice menu of many different things to choose from. Try the buffalo shrimp spicy but full of flavor, tartar sauce is really good you get a massive huge slice of cod that's been fried and seasoned it's delicious

House of God best fish south of Boston off of Trolley Road in Summerville bye Beverly. Open Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. on. I ordered the special of the day Cod fries coleslaw fries hush puppies a $14.95. Very pleased with the service by Jordan piece of cod is very nice very large. Substituted an extra portion of fries for the coleslaw or potato salad.

Went to House of Cod for the first time. We ordered the Fish dinner. Apparently the only fish they have is Cod and the only way they serve it is fried. It would be nice if there were some healthy options available. That being said, the fish was freshly cooked and hot when it was served. It came with fries and one side, as it was the special for the day. Cole slaw was the best option. They also have potato salad and macaroni salad, which we were told, they were out of. The fries were hot and tasty. They were served with a seasoning on them. The Cole slaw was mayo based. It was good but again, it would be good to have a healthier option. One employee seemed to be doing it all. He took the order, cooked and served it. He was very nice and did a good job. A sign on the door shows they are hiring.
