Pleased as a first-time out-of-towner customer seeking out Mom-n-Pop eateries. This placed delived on its promise: food was delicious and piping hot, although at $18 for a BBQ plate (2 small sides) sweet tea, not cheap by any means. Still. Friendliest service I ever did see, and that's no lie. Smack dab at lunch hour yet was fast and quick. Nice local's spot. Did this used to be a stand-alone joint vs. in a strip mall? That would've been even better, IMO. Will return for sure and would gladly bring others.

We placed a large takeout order at this restaurant. We ordered a BBQ plate with baked beans and a baked potato. Unfortunately, the beans were overly spicy and the bread that came with the meal was extremely hard. We also ordered a hamburger and fries, but were disappointed to find that the meat patty was much smaller than the bun and the fries were soggy. While other items we ordered were just okay, they didn't live up to how they used to be in the past. Overall, we were very disappointed with the decline in the quality of the food at this restaurant. The takeout service was average.
