It was clean, inside and out and had a nice or quaint outdoor patio. We went for the food on the menu...Bangers N Mash and the Roast Beef Aunt Jus, however we settled for a Burger and Pint and a Chicken Salad. So while we were a bit disappointed that they were sold out of the dishes we wanted, they made up for in what we did get.The reason I give this a Four rating, is due to the Manager's accommodation to us, the beer on Tap and the bottles they carry as well, reasonably priced....and the food was good.Nicely situated to sit out on the patio in the summertime sunset hours.Cheers!
We have only been in town for a couple of daya when we found this pub. The service is good and friendly. The food came hot and full of flavour. Everyone loved their food. Would go back.
I had the Pole Burger, without the banana paper (cause I'm a wimp when it comes to heat) with the Chicken Fingers in garlic & parm wing sauce, My mouth is watering just thinking back to it. The burger was juice and delicious the coleslaw added a whole other level, and the chicken fingers where just sooo, sooo good. Defiantly will go back.
I like the space and usually the music too. I enjoy going there from time to time. However I find the service lacking, especially when the owner isn't around. On a Tuesday night, when no one but me was standing at the counter, I stood there while two waitress' passed me by, not asking what I wanted to drink. They both saw me standing there. I waited about a minute, insulted, I went to my table sat and waited around. Finally a friend flagged the waitress to order a drink for me otherwise, I wouldn't have tried again and ordered. If they were too busy, (they weren't) they could have acknowledged me and I would have waited, but I felt ignored. This is not the first time that happened there. I suppose selling drinks and customer service is not the priority. Regardless, it is a good space and I've had fun there. I will go again.
Peddlars was packed on St Pat's day (evening). They had a $10 cover charge for this premium evening but the band was good so the charge was worthwhile. Food and drink was as one would expect; nothing special, but the atmosphere was great. When we left at about 10pm there was still a long lineup of people waiting to get in and happy to pay their $10.
