Absolutely fantastic all around! The service, the meals, and the atmosphere were all exceptional. We’ll definitely be coming back. The outdoor dining offers stunning views on a beautiful day, and there is also indoor seating with a fantastic bar area. The free private parking lot is a huge plus. Our server, Michelle G., was simply perfect!

The Breakwater is situated on Water Street in Stonington, CT, and it operates five days a week, from Wednesday to Sunday, between 11:30 AM and 9 PM. Nestled in the charming and historic town of Stonington, it’s a great spot to spend a day exploring the area before enjoying a meal at the Breakwater. The restaurant is located on a pier, offering the choice of outdoor seating—our preferred option on a lovely day—or indoor dining, which is typically warmer and less windy. The menu highlights fresh seafood, and some of our top picks include the Hot Lobster Roll, Cold Lobster Roll, fish and chips, and a variety of other seafood dishes. Everything is freshly prepared to order. The customer service is exceptional, and the prices are quite reasonable.
