We spent a nice Friday night in the pub. it was quite full, but we could get a place in the bar. Eat and drinks were great and the staff was very tailored to special requests. the atmosphere of the pub is very unique with the bar that really looks like it hasn't changed since 1705 (which it probably wasn't). highly recommended!
This place is a whole experience on the best possible way. parts of it look untouched from the 1700s (which is so cool) and the building has such a unique character. we were here in our second night to go up the western way. we arrived late and they seemed very well-founded (we ran like crazy) but were still fast to help us. her bar/restaurant area is very cozy and the whole food was delicious and came very fast.
She stayed here and wandered on the western highland way. our room (on the lodge side) was simple, but it was more than sufficient and gave us a great imitation. the historic guesthouse itself was super cool and dinner and breakfast was wonderful. a little ww, but it's worth staying here. fortunately, we would stay here again!
What a place. 314 years of history. Excellent vibes. Fantastic staff. Brilliant food. Artifacts and so much more add to the authenticity of the Drovers. A must visit place if travelling on the road north or south of Yon Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond.
