Steam Kaffebar - Stavanger

Industrial design inspired coffee place. By walking along we first thought this place would sell furniture. But the coffee was of good qaulity and the offered sweets were very good.

Such a cool coffee spot. Cozy environment with a good variety of seating for individuals or groups. Delicious gingerbread lattes. Super friendly service. Clean environment and bathroom. Perfect place to enjoy a coffee with a friend, work on your laptop, bring your kids for a treat, etc. Would absolutely come back to try something else.

On a hot Sunday in Stavanger, I fancied an ice cream. We came across Steam by chance. It looked a bit like a student hangout, but never mind, it was open, with ice cream. There was a young lady behind the counter who could not have been more helpful. She carefully worked along the row explaining each flavour to this slightly deaf, old, English man. However, number 4 was Cinnamon bun flavour. Go no further. Seriously. Cinnamon bun flavoured ice cream ! Anything else is irrelevant. It turned out it was the favourite of the helpful young lass behind the counter. You pay by the tub being put on scales, and being charged by weight. So I had a scoop of mango added. Both were delicious. It rounded off nicely a walk round the lake. Initially, the student feel made me think 4*. The ice cream, and the helpful young lady made it 5* Next cruise I hope to return.

We came here on a day trip to Stavanger. Friendly staff, and a very relaxed atmosphere. Lovely coffee and delicious cinnamon snails!

Visited during a visit with P&O cruises. Stopped for a hot drink during our walk around Stavanger. Tables inside and outside. Drinks obtained from counter inside no waiter service. Good selection of hot drinks. I had hot chocolate with cream which was excellent. Good selection of cakes also available. Good place to stop for mid morning break.
