The Woodshed Steakhouse - Stanley

We had a party of 10. Arrived on a Friday around 4:45pm. Once the doors opened at 5 we were seated in just a few minutes. One in my party ordered the salmon, and other than a few kids meals everyone else ordered the prime rib. We had shrimp cocktails for appetizers along with the salad bar. Everything was cooked perfectly and the bonus was our server Trip. He made sure our visit was an amazing experience.

I went to the Wood Shed with my family to celebrate my birthday and I was very disappointed. We all ordered a big steak (I had a Ribeye, my son and his wife had prime rib, my daughter had beef tips and my granddaughters ordered New York Strip) My steak was tough, dry and full of gristle. It was not good at all. The Prime rib was dry and tough as well as all of the others We ordered fried pickles and they were fried so hard that the you could not eat them. We did send them back. If a family goes to a nice steak house to celebrate a birthday and spends well over $250 it should be spectacular. Everyone left with their steak in a to go box and I tried to heat mine up today and I couldn’t eat it there was so much gristle in it. And some of the adults wanted to order alcohol and that was unavailable until further notice. I do not know what has happened to the Wood Shed but it was very disappointing and nothing like last year. Not sure if we will ever go back.

Everything was delicious. The salad bar is amazing. We highly recommend the beef tips and ribeye. Dessert is not to be missed. Kid-friendliness: Booth style seating. Family restaurant and child friendly

Very good steakhouse. The steaks were fantastic and cooked perfectly. The crab cakes were way too small and sparce for the to go meal we ordered.

To keep cost down, I ordered Chicken Tenders. Not a good choice for me. They were coated with something but to me, they tasted awful. 3 come on order, I ate one. Potato salad bar, good. Slice of bread that came on order was burned around edges. I had not been there in over 20 yrs, surprised at prices. Too bad.
