Mark's Texas Hots - St Roch

Upon visiting a neighbor battling cancer, we decided to search for steak subs that he wanted. ONLY to discover that the restaurant we normally frequent is closed on Sundays. I found this restaurant (Mark 's Hots) on GOOGLE UNDER: BEST STEAK SUBS IN TOWN. When I placed my order in person for a MEDIUM steak (based on favorable reviews) with woman, she stated: we only offer 1 size, those reviews are very old. I agreed to place order anyways and she insisted that I pay ahead of time which I also agreed to in CASH. The total came to $23+ change INCL .95 CHARGED EXTRA FOR merely a COUPLE of MUSHROOMS per sandwich! When I requested a receipt, the woman replied that she could ONLY provide a PIECE OF PAPER with TOTAL amount that SHE WROTE. Shortly thereafter, I happened to notice the GUY SERVING as COOK had NO GLOVES or HAIR NET ON. AND HE WAS ALSO EATING WHILE PREPARING OUR ORDERS. HOW TACKY. Also when I received orders, there was absolutely NO MAYO, NO LETTUCE, NO TOMATOES, ETC. So as result, I CAN ATTEST to the FACT that THEY definitely DON 'T provide the BEST IN TOWN. Additionally, they ARE NO DOUBT, highly unprofessional. I STRONGLY recommend GOING elsewhere!!!!! Real talk. I also think that the COUNTY and STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENT should really look into this.

Mac salad was good , burgers were ok . Meat hot tastes like chili. Ordered home fried and basically got cut up baked potatoes . Not what I want with a plate . Service was fantastic though

Placed to 52 dollar went outside to wait for my food no other customers were there while looking through the window i see the woman behind the counter eating a bag of corn chips then lick her fingers and wiped her mouth with her barre hands the reached for a open order on the counter i immediately walked in and asked was that my order where she replied yes. I told her what I just witnessed and asked for a refund. Never in my life have I seen somebody so unprofessional or with the decency to say I'm sorry that I made a mistake. I usually have a mini video recording deviceve That looks like a button that I wear for safety reasons because people are ignorant out here nowadaysIf I would have wore last night I definitely would have been suingNever in myNever in my lifeNever in my life Never in my life have I ever been so downgraded . Mark is totally off the list with me going forward. Please keep up the good work driving faithful customers away

I know the photo makes you want to know the details. I hate sharing this. Mark's was one of my fav spots when in the city late night. The food tastes good, usually the food is prepared quickly and the everyone at the register and grabbing takeouts are genuine and friendly. Last night was an experience that not only makes me write this but also shares why I will not eat there again. My husband used the restroom and shared the photo on the left. I tried to rationalize every reason possible to not be KAREN. My apologies to anyone offended by the label. But, i felt that as a customer, I had the right to share this with management. I politely asked for his time, because I immediately felt that I interrupted the video he was watching. Well, my sidey sence was on point, I did interrupt his video AND HE DIDN'T CARE ABOUT THE CENTIPEDE in the restroom. YUCK. THIS IS HOW NOT TO TREAT PEOPLE OR HOW TO CARE ABOUT THE HEALTH OF THE COMMUNITY THAT YOU ARE SERVING.

Didn’t cut potatoes down like they should , I was given half of potatoes as home fries , they definitely weren’t the home fries advertised on the website
