Monk Bodhi Dharma - St Kilda

I had been looking online for the best Acai Bowl and this place came up. It's a little hard to find, but it's worth searching out as the Acai Bowl was excellent. It brought me back to Brazil. We also had the Vegan Tacos which were delicious. The avocado was perfect, and the portions were large. I don't drink coffee so can't comment on the coffee, but they seem like they take it very seriously! The service was friendly, we got there at 1pm and were seated instantly, it's quite small and was packed when we arrived which is always a good sign. I would highly recommend this place to Vegans, and it serves breakfast until 3pm.

Came here just for a coffee, didn't like it at all! However the food on the table beside us looked good!

Fabulous vegetarian meals! So good in fact we ate here three times in a week. We became a little addicted to their Avignon Apple Pancakes, but on our last visit I branched out to try the zucchini and mint hot cakes with beetroot relish....also sensational. Although they pride themselves on their coffee, it didn't work for me. I had a flat white made with almond milk and it was horrible. My partner had a chai latte with almond milk each time we visited, which he quite enjoyed; and one of our group had a hot chocolate, which was not even close to hot enough. However I recognise that many other reviewers have raved about their drinks, so it's probably just a matter of taste. Regardless of the drinks not working for me, I would absolutely go there again for the food. And we loved the fact that they make everything in-house. There is one large share table,and a few smaller tables, so it would be easy to miss out, as it's quite a small cafe. Fun atmosphere, although it can get noisy. We look forward to going back again.

If it weren't for the gps, i would not have found this cafe! hidden and unassuming in the rear, access via a cobblestone laneway, monk bodhi dharma churns out exquisite coffees. the vegetarian food served looks good too. ferret it out, it is worth the coffee!
