We started our meal with pappadams accompanied by a variety of fresh chutneys, which were very tasty and appreciated. For our entree, we shared the Samosa Chatt, which was a generous portion served with a flavorful mint sauce. Both of us opted for the Kerela Fish Curry and were not disappointed. The authentic Blue Grenadier (known as hoki in New Zealand) had robust, smoky flavors of cumin and fenugreek, along with sweet undertones of cinnamon and cardamom. It was superb. To finish off our meal, we enjoyed Kingfisher beer. Overall, this was the best Indian meal we have ever tasted.
Excellent lunch at an affordable price. The restaurant offers a wide variety of traditional Indian dishes. The appetizer of pappadams with three types of chutneys prepares your taste buds for the main course. The cauliflower in a sweet and sour style, pork vindaloo, butter chicken, and braised eggplant were all delicious, served with saffron rice and garlic and plain naan. There was more than enough food for the four of us. They also have a great selection of beers, wines, and soft drinks. Overall, a visit to this restaurant is worth it for a traditional Indian meal.
We ordered thru Freddie wimpols . Waited an hour for the food to arrive. The curry was fairly average and only got half a naan bread cut into pieces.
We arrived at about 9 pm on a Tuesday night. We couldn’t fault the food or service. Really lovely service and the food was fantastic. If we lived near there, it would be our go to for Indian food, which we love. Really nice decor as well.
Ordered takeaway and wasn’t disappointed. Gluten free options all clearly marked and the gf naan bread was great!
