Rocket Bakery and Fresh Food

We returned to Rocket Bakery 3 times during our stay in St. John's The coffee was excellent and the breakfast burrito (hot, fresh, tasty) could not be beat. Also had a nice, informal lunch here too. Bakery serves up delicious goodies. Very good value, high quality, great service. We went out of our way to stop at Rocket as we prepared to drive to Deer Lake. The food and coffee were the reason. Best place of its kind that we found in our 2 weeks in NL. Thanks to Stan Cook Kayaking Adventures for pointing us to this great spot on Water Street.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown is this delightful breakfast, brunch and lunch establishment. Unorthodox interior, self serve. The bake goods and breads are beautifully presented, OH my, the smell of all good things. Best fish cakes and side of Kale salad and a scone made with Partridge berries. This has been our best dining experience so far. People are so WONDERFUL, WELCOMING and they do there best to help you with whatever, this was our tour guide's suggestion for lunch and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommended.

A pretty cool place to visit, relax and refresh with food and drink. We have been twice and plan another before we leave.

This is a must-do casual, self serve restaurant/cafe. Everything home made and delicious! Great for take out or eat in, . Wonderful Newfoundland music on Tuesdays at lunch and Thursday later in the day (plus other times, posted daily).
