Harvey's - St. John's

The food tastes best when it's hot, but it's rarely served that way. I'll just take it home and reheat it in the microwave.

I really enjoy Harveys, especially because their burgers taste and look more like real meat compared to McDonald's. The concept of ordering based on the type of patty and then customizing with toppings is great, similar to how you make a sandwich at Subway. You can see everything being prepared, ensuring your burger is made exactly how you like it every time. I usually get a poutine or just fries on the side. The poutines are quite salty, which I enjoy, and the fries are soft just how I like them. Their milkshakes are also delicious and thick, though the non-vanilla flavors are made from syrup added to vanilla. The restaurant is clean and has a TV for entertainment, although the view outside is just a parking lot and street, which is typical for this location.

I was in the mood for a burger, so I decided to try out a restaurant in the area. I ordered the Original Burger Combo, but I found it to be just okay. It was a bit disappointing as I was expecting a better quality burger.

Our first time at Harvey in St. John, we're new to the province. we were there on Thursday evening and shortly before their closing time, staff was very friendly and cooked fresh burgers for us, excellent service and great staff.. we will visit...as soon!!!

Ordered four burgers and fries drive through; three regular and one chicken. Sent to the parking lot to wait. Can't say how long it was, but it was a LONG TIME guessing 30 minutes, and it finally came over and was cold. Not a...little cold, I mean COLD. Won't be back.
