This Vietnamese restaurant is one of my favorites so far, and the vegetarian spring rolls are definitely the best I've ever tasted.
Offers multiple fried dounut-like pastries in the shape of beaver tails. There are multiple topping u can get from cinnamon sugar to Reese pieces. Overall the pastries are good but they are super sweet. Too sweet for me. This place also offers mediocre coffee, and poutines( never tried before).Keep in mine that all these treats are made to order but are a bit pricey.
In discussing Beavertails you have to mention that the Loop in Bannerman Park, St. John's is a wonderful facility that the municipal staff do a great job of maintaining. After an hour or so of skating we decided to try a Beavertail with sugar and cinnamon. It was tasty, but not something I would buy again, because simply it was too much deep fried bread and sugar. I know for some there can not be too much but I thought a smaller portion for lesser price would be better. The hot chocolate was very good and a treat I would purchase the next time we go down to the Loop. The service was fine and the staff friendly. There was no line up even with a large group at the Loop so I wonder if this franchise will last. Either way try the Hot Chocolate.
The best thing about this restaurant is that the food is reliably good. In particular, the pho, rice combos, and spring rolls are consistently delicious.
