Amélia Lounge - St. John's

We waited an hour for placement despite reservation. It took another 15 minutes before a server came to our table. We were offered only the front of the menu “minus the burgers” so that only the beige food options, i.e. wings, pommes, onion rings etc. Once we were on board with this idea, we were at the price... $25 for six tiny wings? Everything we ate was dry and tasteless. Even the children agreed. It was a terrible experience. If we had known and had time, we would have ordered us.

The restaurant is nice and the staff is very friendly. We were in a particularly busy night in a snowstorm. When we came to the restaurant, there was only Pub Grub on the menu, which was good with us. The service was pretty well superior to how busy they were. The only thing that makes me under the star review was that my cola came into a glass that seemed to leave on the sides about pulp of any kind. The drinks were taken off our bill. I would eat there again and recommend.

As a new year, there were $99 specials person for a 3 course meal. There is nothing else in the regular menu We paid $260 for a meal didn't value anything near what we paid.

As it was Christmas Eve, there was nothing open in the evening so we had dinner at the hotel restaurant where we were staying. Our meals were delicious! I was a little disappointed that there was not a special Christmas menu, but I ordered the stuffed chicken breast and I was not disappointed. The chicken was very good! My son ordered a striploin and was very pleased. Our server was lovely and attentive. Because of the holiday, the restaurant was not busy. I would certainly eat here again!
