Restaurant Concerto - St. Gallen

Unfortunately, for all the tables only two services were there, so long waiting times. drinks were forgotten and brought to renewed demand. at the fitness plate with fish crispy first came the fish and after a few minutes the salat added. eating was actually delicious, but in this hectic and stressful atmosphere you can not enjoy.You might think about setting more personal in such rush times. all the tables were reserved in advance. the services have given themselves a lot but were totally overwhelmed and stressed. Conclusion: prefer to go home and tasty in the old town without stress.

Not recommended! personal totally overwhelmed, too little, bill the owner puts worth on as much as possible to cash without considering his customers!

We were here an hour before we wanted to eat and reserved a table, went totally uncomplicated. the service and eating are very good. small card, but you will find something for every taste. Eat goes quickly and tastes very good. Wine card is very extensive

Snobby the supreme «guest»: so it is about to enter the concerto. this is embedded locally in the building of the beautiful tonhalle, but that is already everything. it is clear that the operation of the Peter-Schildknecht gastronomy has the best situation everywhere, but not necessarily the best people or the best offer.Location is not everything in life ...

As many other guests this evening, we decided to have a cozy dinner in concerto before the theater visit. Unfortunately, we cannot really recommend the concerto before a theatre visit.It was awkward that the chef de service had already arrived, radiated a hectic atmosphere, which was noticeably colouring on the employees! our service was a really very polite young lady who tried very hard! you saw very quickly that she is not a learned woman! this is no longer bad, which is normal in Switzerland soon, but for example weeping out of a beautiful 7 dl bottle is not too much required! Just the thema wein is a separate chapter: apparently it is not so common that you order a whole bottle wein to two in concerto. first we had to ask for wein, then we only gave ourselves the open wine card, after another we got the main wine card! when we decided to have a good drop of 7dl, we had to wait long for this until the chef de service was able to take the time to pick them up next to the place of the guests in the closed cellar for us. we could order it very quickly - and that's exactly how it came from the kitchen! from this moment we knew that we belonged to the category of fast-passing guests. because we came around 17.15h, we wanted to avoid this from our side. professional employees (incl.Chef de service) would have had to recognize this! we would have had enough time to enjoy even a dessert. what amazed us that there is apparently no dessert card (today we have seen that a dessert card is on the homepage!) we explained that only a daily dessert is offered! when leaving the local we saw that there was also a rich dessertvitrine!Now a few words to the kitchen. eating was absolutely in order, but no highlight. the tellers were not very beautiful. that was our second visit in concerto and we will give a chance at the next visit in st gallen, probably to another local. easy
