The Pasta is all made in house and is cooked to a perfect al dente. Their tomato sauce is fresh, bright and tastey, their cream based sauces are lite and flavourful. Everything from the olive oil, balsamic and bread reminds me of being in Italy. The food is matched by great service and reasonable prices.Well done to the whole crew at N'ata Cosa!
Our party of 4 stumbled upon this little gem after a show at the Performing Arts Centre. Located right across the street, the food was excellent. We each chose something different, I had the pizza verdure. The thin crust in the 800 degree oven was perfectly done with a tender, flavourful crust. The vegetables were done perfectly with a slight bite left in them. We were very pleased with the delightful server (Cristina?) and the chef at the very hot oven who took the time to chat and share what he was doing. Looking forward to returning in the near future. Don't let the construction in the area stop you from trying it!
We had a great meal at n'ata cosa. We went with friends and each ordered a different pizza, sharing 4 pizzas in total. We tried the potato pizza, the calabrese, the white pizza and the prosciutto pizza. I can honestly say they were all so delicious, i would be hard-pressed to pick a favourite. The crust was thin and had a lovely chewiness to it. I was quite impressed. The service on the other hand, was just ok. The server was inattentive, forgot to bring drinks, didn't top up waters, etc. She was nice enough, but didn't give us service that matched the quality of the food. The food was so wonderful that I would definitely return for more. :)
Along with another couple we chose N'ata Cosa for lunch before enjoying the Norm Foster play at the Performing Arts Centre. Food was great, service excellent and atmosphere was conducive to conversation.
Don't let the summer construction stop you! When friends come from out of town, this is often my choice for our evening out. Great portion size and reasonable prices, N'ata Cosa offers fresh, authentic and delicious Italian food. The antipasto offers very generous portions of a selection of meats, cheeses and veggies and is a great way to start. For entrees it is always so hard to decide between the woodfire pizza, fresh homemade pasta and various other specials and dinner options. Everything looks and smells delicious and having tried a variety of options (whether through ordering myself or stealing off a friend's plate) nothing is a miss. Gnocchi and the seafood pasta are both two I come back to often. Serving staff is lovely and you can see your pizza and salads being prepared in the open concept section of the kitchen. All the great taste of fine dining without the attitude and price tag of some of the other downtown restaurants. Follow them on Instagram as they are regularly posting delicious pictures that will entice your patronage if my description hasn't already.
