Barakokula - Split

It feels like a scam. I think the owner or chef must have changed recently. Otherwise the good reviews it had in the past don’t make sense. The food wasn’t fresh and the ingredients that were advertised weren’t in the food. For example the “oyster mushroom” tempura tasted like a store-bought mayonnaise, there is no way there was any mushroom inside. The food had no taste not even of pepper and salt. It never happened to me before that the ingredients listed on the menu seem like a blatant lie! The tempeh tasted like unwashed [censored] and I love tempeh normally. For the love of god, please don’t fall for this scam like I did. Beware! Please don’t go here!

A place totally plant based in the historic center of Split. we had a great time, the staff is kind and both the dishes and the cocktails are really delicious. more is cheap enough! really recommended updated from previous review on 2022-08-17

Great place! We had a very friendly waitress, got served quickly and got our food fast. My Omni boyfriend took two bites of his truffle pasta and immediately wanted to book a table for the following evening

Amazing food, lots of gf options. Portions are massive and it's a nice vibe in general.

Incredible food with good vibes. Came on an evening and it was a lovely place to be for dinner. Lots of options. Not the cheap option but would recommend to come on an evening you want to be special.
