McDonald's - Southbank

Cross the road from our apartments. Good old mackers service and a good breakfast and coffee to start the day

The building is having work done on it at the moment,even so the restaurant was kept clean,the quality of the food was very good,same as the staff,worth a visit

Normally I review places that I believe others will like. This is not the case with this site unfortunately. During a recent visit my wife and I noticed how dirty the place had become and when she went to the bathroom she came back appalled at its condition. Filthy dirty with no water and no hand drying facility. When she pointed this out to the staff she just got a smile and a nod. I then went to the male bathroom and it was even worse! No paper, the basin had been used as a toilet and the floor had obviously been urinated over. I then asked the staff if they used the public ablutions and was informed that yes, they did. My next point was "so you can't even wash your hands but you are handling our food?" Only response was another sickly grin. We will definitely not be back to this venue despite its handy location. There is a hostel across the road - my advice to its clients would be - go to the garage next door!
