Barkley Restaurant Bar - South Pasadena

This is the best jazz bar I've been to in LA County. It feels like home, with a friendly staff, fantastic music, great drinks, and delicious food in an old-fashioned atmosphere that’s becoming rare. I truly hope this place stays just the way it is.

The Barkley is a charming local gem in Pasadena that truly feels like home the moment you step inside. It's a bit worn but delightfully cozy and always inviting. With a constant lineup of live bands, you're unlikely to find a night without some great entertainment. The food is among the best bar fare you'll find—simple, delicious, and affordable—so you can enjoy yourself without worrying about eating beforehand. Bring your friends and share this little family atmosphere with them. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Nice cool place to listen to food and music. I recommend her cheese sticks for an appetizer!!

I have not been to the Barkley maybe since Roger passed. We had to go to the vet next door and thought we'd give it a try. It was good. Good enough that I would go back. It might not be for everyone and I have read some negative reviews but I still like it..
