Wood 'n Chimney - South Melbourne

I've been waiting for my pizza to arrive for 2 hours and 20 min. When I've called them up the guy just said it's on it's way and didn't get why I'm upset about such a long wait time. So he just hang up on me. Pizza arrived absolutely cold and unbeatable. It's even looked terrible- the crast was dry and hard like a rock. I can go on and on about the quality of it. Over all it was the worst experience ever. Wouldn't recommend even to anyone.

Walk by late lunch on a Friday. Happy hour @3:30pm!! Winning. Ordered teriyaki beef wow so happy I waited and ate after the South Melbourne market stroll. I'll be back

Came here today to check this place out since the reopening and what a massive change. Both food and service were spot on. Staff were very attentive and the Parma was amazing. Only down side is toilets are a little shabby but still clean. All in all a vast improvement.

Great location on Clarendon street easy to walk too and on street parking options. Inside is looking a little tired and needs renovated. But we have been before and enjoyed it, so decided to have lunch. It was a Saturday and although it was very quiet the waitress seemed very stressed and was not particularly helpful when we first arrived. We could hear her arguing with the kitchen staff. However she seemed to mellow before we left and was polite to us. Food was sadly average only. Had nachos for a starter and the Tortilla chips tasted cheap. My husband ordered the butter chicken which in fact turned out to be chicken tikka. I had the carbonara which was cold although tasty. On the bright side the Oreo thick shake was amazing and our side of wedges was hot and really tasty. Average overall. Will not return to be honest.

I went here for lunch with colleagues. We were a group of 8 and there were about 2 other tables with about 6 people in total other than us. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad; probably the fasted item to make out of all the food we ordered. Well sad to say everyone else had already eaten and finished their meals before mine came out. When it finally arrived, i sent it back. What I can say is that it looked fantastic. The reason I give this place average is that I was able to snack on some other bits and pieces from others and it tasted nice. Such a pity about the service.
