Gastropizza - South Hams

Cute van with a stone pizza oven. A few pizza selection available and a bit small. Location is in the car park of Bantham beach which is one of the nicest and cleanest beaches in the uk. Some sitting available in the car park but no shade and can get windy and dusty best take your pizza to the beach.

During our visit to Bantham Beach, we decided to stop at this place for coffee. The coffee was lovely, hot, and we were able to sit on plenty of benches. We noticed many people enjoying their food, which looked delicious. It would be even better if they also served ice creams, as we couldn't find any nearby. These small food serving vans are a fantastic concept.

We visited Bantham primarily to try the pizza from the gastropizza bus. We caught the 162 bus from Kingsbridge to Thurlestone and then enjoyed a picturesque walk along the stunning coastline to Bantham beach. After a lovely day on the beach, we indulged in a delicious made-to-order pizza. Despite the busyness of the place, the pizza was cooked perfectly. We will definitely return next time we are in the vicinity of Bantham.

Ordered 5 pizzas for hungry surfers. Absolutely delicious. The real deal and well worth the wait and cost. What a bonus to have such yummy food on this beautiful beach. Also charming chefs x
