The Angel Inn - South Derbyshire

Review based on september 2018: let them talk about eating here; While there are probably some retices of the angel of past, they are assured that eating is absolutely fantastic (see pictures and great worth. 3 courses for £20, is very good for the quality in the did. the menu is varied and offers various flavors (good made! starter we had a fish cake and chicken roar. the main thing were pork and the dessert was camouflaged cream reis pudding and sticky toffee pudding. very tasty and pleasant. the interior is still very similar to a pub, but would not be fair, a star rating based on this as we have come to experience the food and really lets happy. they could spend less with a good ticket in prezzo, but they 'd miss out on a really high-quality menu.

Visited this fledgling restaurant (new owners) recently and to say I was impressed would be an understatement! after a debating what to try (all sound delicious) I decided for the chicken ballotine and hanghock starter and confit ente haupt. my man went for the pulled pork and kichererbsen ragout, followed by the sea bass. the first note on the dinge that come was the basket of freshly baked sourdough bread that was delicious. every single dish was on the place that meat in the terrine were so moist and the confit ente was the best thing I had outside the dordogne! a few cheeky flavors of my man's dishes confirmed similar success. all this and a few glasses wein from a small but interesting weinlist came to less than £50. a meal in various chain restaurants with reheated/heated foods would be similar in cost, I certainly know where I would rather spend my money! we will certainly return and would recommend to visit everyone to get their table booked!

This was my first visit to The Angel, but it certainly won't be my last. From the very welcoming staff, to the delicious food which was all freshly cooked, I couldn't find anything to fault. Set in a nice location, it is a friendly place to enjoy a most satisfactory meal drink. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Really enjoyed our meals. The menu is limited and we did wait a while but it was worth waiting for! all freshly cooked and well presented. Friendly and helpful staff.
