Coogee Bakehouse - SOUTH COOGEE

We live locally and always buy our coffee here. Have tried several other cafes but the coffee so far has not been surpassed! The berry and custard streudel is sublime and we have bought it often - highly recommended! We also have ordered and bought special occasion cakes here - these are all made and cooked on the premises. All cakes are delectable - we tend to go for the chocolate one which retails for $30+. This cake is very rich so you only need a small piece. Sandwiches have been tried and can be recommended also. On a less than positive note - have been going for over 2 years and not one of the baristas knows my name or is welcoming - I would think this should be rectified particularly when you are a regular these touches do not go unnoticed.

The coffee and food was pretty good but the service and people were completely ignorant and didn't come to my needs. They also made me wait a long time.

A good pit stop for a morning coffee. Small cafe on the hill which has some lovely treats if you have a sweet tooth. Inviting array of cakes and pastries, as well as usual snacks. Ideal for a takeout and even suitable for catching up with some work on your laptop while the world goes by.Coffee seems good and am told the eclairs are particularly good. Staff friendly.There is some parking up the street behind the cafe (travelling up hill, turn left at the cafe corner and then first right, overlooking the cemetery).

The staff here are so rude. We've been a few times and each time disappointing. One visit they made the coffees for the four people who ordered after us before they made ours. The chai latte is made with a powder. It tastes terrible and my was lukewarm. My partner's coffee was too weak and also not hot enough.

Stopped by here to grab a few pies and sausages rolls to eat at home. Super fresh and tasty. I also got a soy cap and a cupcake. Everything was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Next time ill dine in as the vibe inside was very cool. They also have plenty of cakes and bread available to buy aswell.
