Billykart - South Brisbane

We loved dining at BillyKart, the food was fresh, tasty and cooked to perfection. The pork belly melted in your mouth and the fish was delicious. The restaurant has a vibrant ambience and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a visit to BillyKart, we will definitely be back next time we are in Brisbane

This was relaxed and delicious dining. We started with cocktails, watermelon margaritas and Gibsons, both were really competently made and served promptly. The entrees of crab toast, cheese soufflé, gnudi (large gnocchi) and tomato mozzarella salad were all great. Mains of lamb rack, rotisserie chicken and pork were also delicious along with the potato gratin side. Wine list was interesting and staff competent. Billykart West End offers a varied menu and maintains high standards, Ben was in the kitchen the night that we were there and the open kitchen showed how well organised and professional they were, it was almost Zen like to watch. Our favourite option in this part of West End is consistently enjoyable.

Last minute pop in and the staff and service was exceptional and the food lovely and fresh. Real care is given to all aspects of this restaurant. The dishes were beautifully presented. Great pre or post theatre spot.

Haven’t stayed in this part of Brisbane before today so the west end was a new experience. We decided on billykart for dinner and it is well worth a visit. We started with the spanner crab soufflé and the kingfish both of which were well presented and tasty. We both opted for the fish special which was Murray Cod this is not a fish I had tried before and it wasn’t quite as tasty as I had hoped. That isn’t to say it wasn’t a good dish because it was although my only criticism is that it came with tiny olives which were hard to spot and would crack a tooth if crunched. Dessert was the tart au citron which was lovely but the clotted cream was a mistake not sure if it was over clotted but it could have been a slab of butter thankfully the tart didn’t need it. Service was prompt an efficient and the food is really good so if you are in west end and fancy a quality meal give it a go.

Not a very clean Cafe Partner ordered a green juice cost $8 and it was poured out of a $3 bottle into a coffee cup I ordered an ice long black thought it was fine although it had a lovely surprise with fly in the drink We threw both our drinks in the bin straight away , I understand flies are everywhere on hot days but they are alot less if the area is clean Overall review over priced , unhygienic would rate it a zero if possible
