The Buffet South Bend

We met for 3:45pm. We sat immediately and took a little time for the server to come get our drink order. After we ordered drinks it took additional time for her to be able to gather our order. It appears they only had 2 waitresses serving all guests inside the dining room and pool areas. The manager brought our food out and was missing an item. Overall the food was good but service was less than expected especially with the higher prices Edgewater Cafe has. The waitress did the best she could when put in a bad situation from management. Overall 2 Burgers w fries and a Soup and Salad $59. Prices are salty for the service you receive.

My sister and daughter and I ordered the same meal, it was the special for the night which the main part of the meal was a filaet mignon which usually a very tender cut of meat but it wasn't. We were even having difficulty cutting it with a steak knife. I don't think we will be eating there again Dick Divine

Highly recommend giving Edgewater Cafe a try. Great atmosphere and outstanding service! The food was delicious! I loved the Dueling Pianos, we had such a great time! So much so, I've made reservations again for this Friday and bringing 2 additional friends.

Food was alrite, some of the stuff coulda been fresher for sure. Otherwise it was good.

Did you seriously send this to me? HORRIBLE! SO disgusting disappointing I cried after we left! Had 7p.m. reservations. After 30 minutes NO ONE CAME to our table. I SAW the staff tend to EVERY OTHER TABLE but ours. I SAW the staff LOOK at us then turn AWAY! I ask for the manager who comes with the textbook apologies then after 20 min. we get water place drink orders. Get watery drinks after 15 min. cause some girl is practicing bartending. Someone takes our order finally. The manager is apologizing with all this free, horribly fried mess (I didn 't get the fried lemon with the calamari! then our orders are placed. Another 35 minutes. I see the staff play and tend to every other table! After 30 minutes some woman comes with my companion 's fish (DRY AS F_! then sits the plate on the table (not in front of my guest says Who gets this. I don 't know where 'she ' is with the other plate. (mine I get my food, a burger so damned cooked it was leather..no one asked how I 'd like it cooked..and Velveeta. My companion says I 'm too nice we should leave cause every other table is tended to but ours. Mind you, we are the only People of Color in the place so it was TOO damn obvious. A white group sits at the table next to us, the waitress pops up 4 times with jokes, attention, water and drinks. We 're sitting there with this dry ****. I tell a waitress to bring me a to-go box the check. 25 min. Manager offers gelato as a solve and some dumb gab. I 'm so insulted he 's background noise I just want to GTF outta there! I KNOW this is Indiana they are not used to POC but this place needs to be closed! Hire a TRAINED staff, Hire a CHEF cause that fried bull was an insult, toss in a bit of DE I training cause if I was a different person I could 've made a big deal at being the ONLY table, with two Ladies of Color, the ENTIRE restaurant completely ignored then served the crappiest food EVER! Call me when this place is shut down so I can celebrate. DON 'T DO THIS JOINT!
