Brunos Pizza - South Bend

This is the Bruno’s location that I always went to when I was in college and I was never disappointed in years and in fact would have said this was better than other locations until last Friday night. I should have known something was wrong when I arrived on a football Friday and the parking lot was practically empty. I got inside and found a different menu than the one to which I was accustomed. It had only Pizza and a couple of basic appetizers mostly variations of garlic bread. When we tried to order beer, we learned they had changed owners and in the process no longer had a liquor license. The pizza was OK. It reminded me of the quality I had received from some other Bruno’s locations. OK but not special. The service was horribly slow. I would call ahead to find out if they have worked out the kinks before going

We caught them at a bad time. The ownership of the business was changing so they had no liquor license so we had to BYOB. We had no idea in advance. They had only pizza to offer. I felt sorry for the waitstaff as they were doing their best in a bad situation. The best thing is that we had fun and the pizza was great. We will try it again but will make sure they are functioning as a full service restaurant before we go

I would not recommend this place to anyone! The restaurant was run down very dirty. . There were old crumbs under the tablecloth! Gross !! We could only order pizza! It was supposed to be a combination with sausage and pepperoni. It had very little sausage on it no flavor! The bathroom was disgusting! No paper towels and the air dryer didn’t work! The back parking lot was awful! It stunk like garbage and beer cans and glass bottles all over the place. The place needs to be TORN Down

Best pizza in South Bend! Great place to go after ND football game!

Excellent food, excellent service. We will be back whenever we are in town
