No no just no. Food was the worst. Couldn't bite into my bacon . And when I don't eat bacon, that's a good indication of the quality. Scrambled eggs (shudder). I've never had a more awful breakfast
Our party of four ended up here after finding our favorite breakfast spot, the Everyday Cafe, had a 45 60 minute wait. We should have waited! We arrived to a packed venue (Saturday, July 21, 2012, ~10:15AM , and were told that a couple of tables should be opening soon. After standing around for several minutes, the waitress pointed out some open tables. I guess we were thinking they would seat us (after the comment about the tables 'opening soon ' . Oh well. There was no sign indicating one way or the other. We sat down and waited, and waited. There was one menu at the table, and I got up and found three more. It probably took 10 minutes or more for the waitress to arrive, and then it took another 10 minutes to get our coffee (minus the sugar I had asked for . Guess what? I ended up getting the sugar myself. The coffee was fresh (the waitress said so , but I would only rate it 'fair '. My wife ordered corned beef hash, which was 'out of a can ' quality. I had buttermilk pancakes, which were so so. Kinda dense, if you ask me. This place is '2nd rate bar chic ', and we swore you could still smell smoke (seriously I 'm not joking even though it 's been 2 years since the no smoking ban in bars. Lots of patrons were having beer **** Marys for their breakfast beverage. Sheesh! I ain 't got no alcohol problem. By the way, this place is way noisy inside, so don 't plan on any intimate conversations.
First timer to this location on a Sunday for lunch. What a treat. The menu was packed full of great choices. The bar had plenty of options for everyone's pallet. The **** Mary's were the perfect starter to a very delicious burger and tots. Definitely going back for the burger that was delicious and juicy. The wait staff was attentive and helpful. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food presented.
Really don't understand the poor reviews here. I don't typically take much stock in one-line reviews anyways, but was apprehensive to stop due to the reviews. Checked Facebook and what do ya know, they have a 4.4/5 average with hundreds of reviews. Who knows? Anyways, we came around 11:30AM for brunch and had a cinnamon roll to start. Wow! Excellent. Server was friendly when we asked for the lunch menu as I was looking for a breakfast burger and my fiancé was looking for a wrap of some sort. I ordered hash browns and hollandaise on the side with my burger and added both on top of the burger. It was fantastic! Fiancé ordered the southwest chicken wrap and said it was very good as well. She had the Cajun fries and really liked them too. All-in-all and excellent brunch, in a cool place with an old tin ceiling and plenty of things to look at on the walls. It was moderately busy but not loud, and we didn't feel underserved.
