I will definitely be trying out the boys' new place on Merchant Street. Please keep me updated if you start offering cooking classes! Best of luck to you, Maria, in your future endeavors.
Last night, my wife and I decided to dine at El Rincon restaurant around 6 PM. The restaurant was busy and there was only one waiter serving the entire place, resulting in long wait times. One of the main issues we encountered was the discrepancy in prices. The menu item I ordered was listed as $14 online, but it was $17 on the plastic menu at the restaurant. When the bill arrived, I was charged $20 for the same item. The plastic menu had a note stating that prices had been increased. Despite having enjoyed meals at El Rincon in the past, the food did not meet our expectations during this visit.
For her 79th birthday, my mother wanted to go to Chimney Bluffs and el Rincon for dinner. We had heard so much about this place for years and were excited to try it, especially after a full day of hiking. We were not disappointed! El Rincon has a lovely dining room and a beautiful outdoor patio. There is even a charming garden behind the kitchen. The staff warmly greeted us and took good care of us. There was lots of friendly conversation and excellent service! And the food was amazing. My mother had the Derek Burro and is still raving about how delicious it was. The chilies rellenos were also outstanding. The chips, pico de gallo, rice, and beans that came with our meal were all fresh and well-prepared. We will definitely be returning soon and highly recommend you try it too if you enjoy delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine like we do.
The restaurant was a unique establishment. When we arrived, there was no one in the main kitchen area. It was getting late, close to closing time at around 7:40, and the server seemed visibly annoyed. My companion did not enjoy a part of his meal and when he mentioned it, the server retorted, "But you still ate it, didn't you?" I found this response surprisingly rude. However, I personally enjoyed my combo of chicken tacos and chalupa, as they were very fresh and flavorful. Despite the server showing signs of wanting to rush us out the door, we still had to wait a while for the check. The food was good, but unfortunately the service left much to be desired.
I have never had enchiladas as delicious as the ones at this restaurant! The authentic Mexican cuisine is top notch. My family and I have been coming here for over 15 years and the dining experience has always been fantastic. The ingredients used are very fresh, and the veggie 3 amigos enchiladas were especially delightful with a variety of fresh vegetables and 3 incredible sauces. The flavors were outstanding, with just the right amount of heat. This restaurant is truly worth the trip, as the food surpasses all other Mexican restaurants in the area. If you are a fan of authentic Mexican cuisine, this is the place to visit!
