The Bay Street - Sodus Point

Very disappointing. Heard good things thought would have drinks and dinner. Bartender complained nonstop from the time we walked in and made us feel so unwelcome we left without ordering anything. Maybe she had a bad day, maybe they only like locals, but in either case we won’t be going back

This place is a rather nondescript and hidden gem. The doors are a bit crooked and so are the floors but that simply adds to the charm. The service was excellent and the entrees were. This is definitely a place to which I will return.

The most extensive list and best made cocktail around. Steaks and seafood dishes are top notch, too.

Dinner was excellent as always. Had sea bass. One definitely could improve the experience: I would suggest to post the martini menu online. With over 100 martinis, who wants to study the menu sitting at the bar? It could be grouped by liquor type. It just seems a waste not to make that available beforehand.

We found this hidden gem a few years ago. Loved the food and the ambience. It changed ownership a couple of years ago. Then covid hit. Tonight being our anniversary we decided to return to this great place. What a disappointment. It still advertises as Lousiana cuisine like in the past, but far from it. The recipes have changed and not to our liking.
