The shrimps were good and the bread was excellent. The oysters were the part that really stood out. They were fried to perfection. The seafood gumbo is also worth an attempt, but come with a great appetite if you want everything to try in one session.
I'm not a local, so I've never heard of Kenney's seafood. Let me tell you something... if you want some exquisite seafood with healthy portions and great prices, LOOK NO FURTHER! Kenney is your place! Everything was great, and the service was amazing! I'll be sure to stop Kenney the next time I'm in town. If you don't like seafood, there are other options. Please try. You will not be disappointed!
For the first time in the restaurant. Very disappointed as I bought seafood several times from here on the market. I ordered the seafood plate and expected it as online and on the menu. Unfortunately, my experience was not something I want someone else to experience. My number was called and when I went to the counter to get him, a paper bag was pushed to me. I was confused because I didn't place a to-go order, I ate. When I informed them, the little blonde girl rolled her eyes and snored the bag up and threw it on a table in the kitchen. I guess they literally went to DUMP all the content on a tablet and someone brought it out. The pictures clearly show how pitiful and disappointing the so-called Platter was!! Shrimp was cold and hard, overboiled, I had a sliver of catfish, and what should my soft bowl crab look like a bowl, although of what I could not say. The Boudain balls were burned! I should have followed my first instinct and asked for my money back, but I was so hungry and frustrated at this point I decided to eat my sliver of fish and a few of the fat, over baked oysters and just call it a day. When I tried to eat what I could from this train wreck, the rude little blonde girl came into the dining room and began to sneak the metal chairs over the floor and sneak things around on tables. Needless to say that I am NOT going back to ever eat there. The service was terrible and the food was even worse. I usually go to Pearls for the seafood plate, but decided to give Kennys an attempt because my sister-in-laws like it. Pearl is definitely better.
We had lunch there and the food was great.. We came back the next day and bought fresh shrimp to take home and cook. Very friendly staff.
The crawfish was so delicious. I got full otherwise I would have ordered more. We got 5 pounds of them. The hamburger po boy was good as well.
