We were not disappointed at all! We ordered all the soup available but were later told that they only had one bowl of black chicken herbal soup left and no more chicken herbal soup. We were still contented with the turtle, black chicken and fish maw soup. Herbal taste and the flavours were so good! Also had two servings of their fried prawn meat balls. Wonderful meal. Will come again on a rainy day
The best herbal soups in Singapore! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. All their soups are delicious and hearty. They are a bit pricey but worth the money as they are filled with ingredients and herbs. The yam rice is also terrific. The chilli goes well with the meat. Can skip the sides like vegetables and prawn rolls as they are just average. We spent $43 per pax.
If you’re looking for a different type of cuisine in Singapore, this is the place to go! In my opinion, the best turtle soup you can get in this sunny island! In picture is the $39 claypot turtle soup filled with different parts of the turtle. They are very cleanly cooked and no gamey smell or taste. Soup tastes rich and you could also taste the layer of collagen. If you’re not so adventurous, their Ginseng Black Chicken soup is fantastic as well. They are definitely not stingy with the herbs put into each soup and just makes you come back for me. Note that you could also ask for a one time refill of the soup if you want more. Come early as this place gets packed during meal times and they offer takeaway too.
Awesome, at least for the dishes I ordered. Even my wife said their herbs gao gao which make the soup very strong in herbal flavours. The soup indeed very flavourful and I dun feel thirsty after that. Black chicken and white chicken meat was tender and well cooked. The handmade prawn rolls win hands down with their sesame sweet sauce, awesome combination. Yam rice was not short changed, ample yam cube and mushroom in the rice. Only complaint, not cheap ya.
Best turtle soup in sg. get the claypot one cause it’s thicker. good portions of turtle meat. other stalls leave chicken in the soup, whereas its all turtle meat here. the homemade prawn balls are also well fried, crispy on outside, soft inside. will go again to try the fish maw.
