Oven baked pizzas there are must try. The only complaint is that dough is too fluffy, but it doesn't affect the perfect flavour. Fresh bread and pasta left a pleasant feeling too. They have a very affordable lunch menu.
Excellent italian food. Tuna tatare and mentaiko pasta were great. Their pasta texture was al dente and tasted like it was made fresh in house. Pizza dough was really good and fluffy. Will be back!!
I had such an amazing experience at LUKA on a fine Sunday evening. Reservations were easily made online and food was served swiftly. For the first course, we had the Whipped Bottarga Cream Pretzel. Pretzel was super soft and fragrant, which complimented the Bottarga Cream really well. We then ordered the daily special, which was the Limone Affumicata Salmone Pizza. It consists of smoked salmon, ikura, cherry tomatoes, creamy lemon sauce and topped with dill. The portion was quite big for 2 people after ordering 2 main courses but however, we managed to finish it. As it’s my boyfriend’s special day, I decided to splurge a little and order the Tomosankaku A4 Japanese Wagyu Beef (150g). I’m quite amazed by how LUKA made this high quality, “melt in mouth” beef with such a decent price tag. Some parts of it were quite chewy, but nevertheless it was really well done (not the beef tho). Saving the best for the last, the MVP of the night… Mentaiko and Ikura Spaghetti. This is the best pasta I’ve ever had. Maybe because I’m an obsessed fan of mentaiko, but everything about this dish was perfect. My experience here at LUKA was very memorable. Aside from the slightly noisy guests behind us, this was probably one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in 2021.
I’m usually skeptical about fusion food, and the description in the menu did not help with that. But boy, I was pleasantly surprised with what Luka had to offer. Everything was flavourful and not too overwhelming. The texture of the pastas and pizza were great. The portion was just right for me.
If you’re craving a ‘real’ pizza, with a soft dough that’s crispy yet also soft, warm and light within, that also has toppings that aren’t drowning in so much cheesy you wonder if you’re eating anything but dairy, Luka may be worth a visit. We tried a chicken pizza that was maybe drizzled in slightly too much mayo, but the chicken itself was still tasty. While the vegetarian pizza had enough flavour to occupy all taste buds. But for me the dough and oven magic made these pizza’s the real deal. The meatball and shrimp starters were also great, but the real reason for coming is the pizzas.
