This pub has great atmosphere and creative offerings such as the spicy mushroom and rice soup of the day I had with my Lake Erie Perch crispy Po'Boy.

I want to leave a better rating but this place is so hit and miss and inconsistent that it's just not possible to go higher than 3.

Since the renovations I've come back to eat here pretty often. The atmosphere and menu are much better since. I normally eat in the dinning area; great service every time! This time my friend suggested we sit in the bar section. Ordered drinks then decided to order food. When the food came out I ordered a second drink and a water. The water came but not the second drink. We didn't see her again, she was too busy chatting up the guy who ordered a beer and burger. She then came and asked if we wanted the bill, food on the table and half way done our beer?! Wth? My friend asked for a take out tray, we had to be very specific about that. Being that I ate there often I knew they had certain containers. Only time I've had bad service here in over two years, stick to the dining room if your getting food as well. The bar side wasn't busy like the dining room but I still think service would have been better there.

Upon arrival, we were seated quickly and drink orders were taken. When the drinks arrived, the server asked if we were ready to order or would like a few more minutes. Since this was our first visit, we wanted a bit more time to look at the menu. After 15 full minutes waiting for her to return, and while watching two other tables being seated and having their orders taken AND DELIVERED, we felt we should ask if it was something we had said. After than glitch, things moved along more smoothly and the food was good so it encouraged us to perhaps making another visit.

Enjoyed the pickerel dinner with fries and an order of delicious garlic bread.The service was friendly and quick.We will return.
