It was so good but when we went on a field trip and ate there, they took sooo long to bring me and my friend's drink and wouldnt even let us in particular get fortune cookies. So.....
When it comes to buffets, this restaurant offers a lot of variety at a reasonable price. I would give it 3 stars because it is just average. Chinese buffets may seem like a good idea, but the food quality can be hit or miss. The service here is good, but many Shreveport restaurants serve drinks that taste like dirty water. The bathroom is not well-maintained. It seems that most Chinese restaurants in Shreveport have toilets that are in need of a thorough cleaning and repair. I would suggest only using the restroom here if absolutely necessary.
The China Flag restaurant started off as a good and affordable buffet with a variety of sushi options. However, the prices at this location and the Bossier City location have since increased significantly. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has also declined significantly. During my visit to the Shreveport location, the air conditioning seemed to either not be working properly or was deliberately set too high, making the dining experience uncomfortable. The food was okay, but the desserts were disappointing. The staff were the highlight of the experience, providing average service. Overall, my mom's fortune cookie had no fortune, adding to the disappointment.
Some of the dishes were not served hot. The watermelon lacked flavor. There should be more allergy-friendly options available. The broccoli beef had chewy chicken meat. The fried zucchini slices were too thick and the broth was greasy with a bland taste. The cooked shrimp was prepared well, but lacked enough spice.
