Hotel Pack and Take - Shimoga

Good hotel and nice stay. i am regular with royal orchid but that was packed for my dates. i opted it and stay was without any hassle.

The place doesn't speak out by it's appearence, but When it comes to food and it's takes, you'll be quite amazed. If you want you have some non veg food and are not looking for luxury, this is the place. Nonveg at it's best.

We were hunting for restaurants serving non-veg fare during our stay at the royal orchid and stumbled upon this place. Pretty close to the highway road so is conveniently located.They do not really have a menu but the manager tells you the items. We choose fish fry, mutton dum biryani and chilli chicken. Fish fry was par excellent. Mutton dum biryani was just above average but the gravy to go with it made it taste real good. Chilli chicken looks like the one that is available on cheap roadside stalls but is succulent and very tasty. We wanted to try their special parotha and chicken masala but were too stuffed already (just me and my wife). While this is not really a place to sit and dine-in, im sure dine-in would taste much better.A sweet shop closeby is the perfect place for desserts (one piece for ten bucks).

I ordered some food at this restaurant. The first time I ate here, it was delicious. However, the second time was not as good, so it's a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the food.

The hotel was great and I had a pleasant stay. I usually stay at the Royal Orchidee, but this time I decided to try something different. I was pleasantly surprised and had a comfortable stay without any issues.
