Phoned ahead as we were traveling through on a Sunday night and wasn't 100% on serving times. Reception lady was lovely and very helpful, double checking that the kitchen would be able to accommodate our late arrival. We arrived only 2 other tables being served (it was Sunday night after all) .... ladies were lovely catering for our tired children with colouring activity packs.Meals were great value ....... well priced and decent sizes. Was recommended a local wine, it was lovely and great to have someone promoting a local winery :)
Stopped in for dinner and couple of drinks overall good pricing and pleasant service from the team of people. Food was good and little quick between entree and main. You could enjoy most of the menu items on a good budget. Clean tidy and easy access don't sit by the windows if it's cold
Only recently joined Trip Advisor, so a belated review. This venue well worthy of 5 stars on our experience for a budget 2 course meal. Attentive staff member was quick, after seeing my elderly friend ( a WWII veteran ) on a walking frame, to check he was okay, asking if we intended to have a meal, and if so, where would we like to sit. Bar service also prompt and friendly. The Seniors, or Lunch Special may have only been $12 at the time, I see advertised now $12.95. May have paid for 2 courses, or a little extra for a dessert after main, which was value for money also. We each had a main of Lambs Fry and Bacon, with Vegies. I've never seen Lambs Fry, bacon and gravy served how it was. The lambs fry was chopped up into reasonably small pieces, with bacon and lovely gravy, all in a separate bowl on the plate, which kept it nice and hot. If the standard of this type of meal ( which some people look down upon !!! ) is indicative of their other meals, then this venue has to be recommended. The 3 or 4 different staff I spoke with, or who served us, were equal to the best I've come across in hospitality. Very clean all round. Easy to find, ample parking.
Took the wife to the Seymour Club for a meal. I used to take the kids here years ago when the missus was off working. We had the garlic bread and bruschetta for entrée. Both were quite good. Not amazing, OMG but good, tasty tuckers. I was happy with that and looked forward to the mains.I ordered a rib eye and said wife had an entrée fish and chips. Why people have fish and chips in a land locked location is a mystery to me. Still, I guess many towns near the water have frozen fish anyway. The rib eye was nice, but overcooked. I ordered it medium and it was pretty well grey all the way through. Very little pink in the middle. Chips were nice. I had a bit of the fish and that was good too.The wines available were nice too, with generous servings and very friendly service.
