Gaffney's Pie Kitchen - Seymour

After traveling for a few hours, we were in need of a snack before visiting the tank museum at Puckapunyal. We decided to stop by a local bakery and were pleased with the great food they served.

I had lunch at this restaurant on Sunday in March and had a great experience. We ordered the Beef and Vegetable Pastie and the Country Beef Pie, both of which were delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up buying some to take back home to Melbourne.

I had the Triple Chilli Braised Beef Pie, a Passionfruit Lemon Curd Tart and Coffee. All were exceptional, however the Pie was one of the best I have ever had. Sadly, this Pie Kitchen is km away from my home.

I was very disappointed to discover that they use spiral pasta as a filler for the pie. The pastry was good, but the filling was not enjoyable. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Such a beautiful little bakery. So many delicious treats to choose from and the pie was the best I have ever had. It’s a must if your in town.
