My uncle, auntie and myself drove from Melbourne to have lunch with my wonderful dad who lives in Seymour. We thoroughly enjoyed dining out in the glorious weather...in the generous sized and comfortable Beer Garden. Our seafood dishes of Blue Grenadier beer battered fillets, Salt and pepper squid and Crumbed prawn cutlets x were all generous in portions and absolutely delicious. Yvonne and all the staff that served us or talked to us (including the gardener) were friendly, helpful and delightful. I highly recommend dining at the Royal Hotel. Just a short trip down Manners St from the Royal you can enjoy the nature of Lions Park and dip your feet in the Goulburn River!! A perfect day had by all
Loved it. The meal was brilliant l had the grilled blue grenadier. The prices are fantastic and the staff are so helpful and friendly was great to receive excellent customer service with a
Great pub for meals, food excellent . Waitress friendly we were staying in the accommodation , rooms are ok although a bit small for beds, others are ok. Unfortunately Thursday night we had the Juke box playing till am, very rude manager. He...was cleaning up with music blaring.Didn’t even turn it down when asked to. As we had to get up early ,we didn’t get much sleep. Also showers are a bit ordinary. But you get what you pay for. Do not ask for a room above the bar. Other than that not too bad
Been looking for a good beef Schnitzel for quite awhile and found one here, outstanding. Good cold beer presented in well maintained glasses, which had a good collar and excellent lacing which they held during the consumption of my drinks, beer was delicious (Max paid...added to to taste), overall very happy with the service and product available highly recommend.
Sat outside in a pleasant garden, but unfortunately not peaceful as there is a carpark adjacent to garden which was filled with loud bar patrons having their drinks in carpark. Service was ok . We started with fried Camembert—not bad. My husband and I both...ordered the special which was rump steak. My husband seemed ok with his as he ordered it with gravy and mash which he never gets at home! My steak was not good, I ordered it rare— but it was uneven thickness, so a small part was rare other parts were not. The cut of meat was substandard...lots of tough fat and fatty bits. It was not cheap. I gave two stars as my husband said his wasn’t bad, but quite frankly, when I go to a restaurant, even a pub, I expect better than not bad. Sorry, but I can’t recommend
